If tuning an acoustic guitar, remember to properly set your bridge pins so your strings don't pop out. Holding the pins and turning the tuner after the string has some tension on the neck nut is the best way to do this.

Tapping a guitar is a great way to learn all the different sounds that can come from this magnificent instrument. Acoustic guitars are great to tap because you can also play percussion to augment the sound. Mixing the harmonics of the instrument with the hollow sound of the guitar can create an interesting mix of sounds and tonics.
